You know you’ve seen it on Pinterest! The new, incredible Instant Pot! I debated for so long before I bought mine ( and then it was on back order and it took a month to arrive! sheesh!). I thought…do I really need another kitchen gadget on my counter??? What is the big deal with it? Well…I finally caved and purchased an Instant Pot
You guys!!!! I’m obsessed with my Instant Pot!!! What is an Instant Pot you ask??? It is a brand Electric Pressure Cooker! Why do I love it so much? It just does so many darn things! It’s a rice cooker, pressure cooker, crock pot, saute pan (and more) all built into one!
I use it almost every single day of the week. There are so many things I use it for! Just a few ways I use it:
- Making Super Fast Baby Food
- Whole Body Chicken (recipe coming soon!)

- Bone Broth
- Baked Potatoes
Frozen Meat (this is one of the primary reasons I bought an Instant Pot. I tend to collect meat products in my freezer with full intention of cooking them someday. maybe I got a screamin deal on chicken or pork shoulder and I just pop in the freezer for future use and some how a few months later, it’s still sitting there. I wish I was one of those people who plans the weekly menus for the family and then writes it on the chalkboard for all to see, but I am a total failure at that! When I found out that I could throw a frozen block of pork shoulder without any thawing into this bad boy, I was sold. I love that in the same day, I can decide on what is for dinner and then whip it up! My husband is pretty impressed!
When I had finally decided that I was going to purchase one of these life savers, I went out and tried to find one at my local store. What I found was, all they had was Electric pressure cookers with teflon pans inside. I knew that I didn’t want that, so I decided to order mine from amazon and just wait the 4 weeks! I’m not sure why, but the Instant Pot brand is the only Electric Pressure Cooker that has a steel pot inside. Sheesh! Longest 4 weeks I’ve experienced in a long time! Talk about delayed gratification!
I’m sure I will be posting many more Instant Pot Recipes because there are just so many ways to use it! What are the ways you use your Instant Pot? I would love to hear about them!
