Instant Pot Whole Body Chicken Recipe

This is an easy dinner to make on any weeknight with your Instant Pot!

Ingredients
  • Whole Body Chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • baker's twine
  • 1 tbpsolive oil
  • seasoning salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 2 cups chicken broth or bone broth
Instructions
  1. Remove chicken from package, remove gizzard, neck and heart from the inside and pat dry with a towel.
  2. Remove skin from onion & cut into quarters.
  3. Remove skin from garlic cloves.
  4. Place onion & garlic inside the cavity of the chicken.
  5. Tie legs together with baker's twine.
  6. Rub chicken with olive oil and sprinkle liberally with seasoning salt, pepper and basil.
  7. Place steaming rack inside Instant Pot or Electric Pressure Cooker
  8. Pour in 2 cups of Bone Broth.
  9. Place chicken on steam rack, attach lid and set the floating vent to SEAL.
  10. Cook on Manual for 30 minutes.
  11. Allow steam to vent naturally.
  12. Remove lid & allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  13. Enjoy!
