Newborn Mommy Survival Kit | Babygear Review

So we are about 2.5 months into life with a newborn. I have to say, we have survived the toughest part! Little E is all ready sleeping through the night! Its pretty incredible how fast it went! I thought we would be in the sleepy, groggy stage for a few more months.

We have found so many baby tricks that have helped us survive until this point! I wanted to share a few with you! Maybe they will help you guys too!

  1. Fisher Price Premium Auto Rock n’ Play Sleeper with Smart Connect

This Rock n’ Play is incredible! As a new mom after 9 years (I have a 13 and 9 year old too!), I hadn’t heard of these until another new mom told me that I “had to get one!” I can’t believe how wonderful these are. It rocks automatically hands free (at 2 different speeds!!), vibrates, plays music… and if that isn’t enough, it has a pull up cover that acts as a screen! It actually projects sweet pictures of animals as baby falls asleep! As you can see, Baby E loves to watch the little butterfly and rings move around as he drifts off into la-la land! I cannot recommend this Rock n’ Play enough!  It also connects to your phone via blu tooth to customize sounds and tunes, overhead display and rocking speed. I also love that this bed is portable. We brought it on a road trip and baby felt right at home. This absolutely is a must-have for newborn babygear!

  2. Mustela Diaper Rash Cream 123 | Mustela Hyrda Bebe Body Lotion | Stretch Marks Recovery Cream Mustela baby product reviewThese lotions & diaper rash cream smell so good! They don’t have the scent of typical baby lotions so I kind of feel like I’m pampering my baby and myself when I apply these! Also, one of the things that I have been working on for the last 5 years is being aware of what I’m putting in and on my family and my bodies. I’ve been trying to eliminate extra chemicals where I can and I love that these products don’t contain any paraben, phthalate and are 100% safe for mama and baby alike (and did I mention they smell so good!?). I love the Stretch Mark Recovery Serum! I’ve been using it for a few weeks and I’m already seeing results on my stretchmarks!  Also Enjoy 15% off site wide till February 11th! Use code: Babblebox17
  3. Munchkin STEP Diaper Pail | Miracle Stainless Steel 360 Sippy Cup | Shine Stainless Steel Bottle Brush | Latch Bottle  Baby Gear reviewMunchkin STEP Diaper Pail Guys! This is the best diaper pail! It actually comes with a scent pod that isn’t overwhelming, but smells so good! It is super easy to use with a step opener. Besides that, it looks modern and doesn’t look like a monster baby item in your nursery. It locks so that a curious kiddo can’t grab a diaper and do who knows what with it! Another great thing is that Munchkin will plant a tree for every diaper pail sold!

Miracle Stainless Steel 360 Sippy Cup When I had my other two kids, I was always on a quest to find the perfect sippy cup! One that didn’t leak juice and milk all over the kitchen floor or even worse, my car floor. I love that its double walled stainless steel and will keep kiddos drink cold for 15 hrs! Here in the desert in the Tri Cities, WA, we need something that will keep drinks cold in the summer!

Shine Stainless Steel Bottle Brush This bottle brush is also great. First of all, its pretty! I always appreciate good design, even in my babygear! It comes with a nipple brush stored in the handle and a replacement brush as well! The flexible head is perfect for getting all the corners and crannies of your bottles!

Latch Bottle   – One of our main concerns with newborns is gas, because gas equals a baby in pain, which also equals less sleep for baby and parents. I love that these bottles have an anti colic valve that pushes the air to the bottom of the bottle (outside the milk) in order to create less air bubbles in the milk, that would cause more gas. Did you catch that? Less gas = happy mommy and baby (and dad too!!).

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich CreamVichy Aqualia ThermalTalk about amazing cream. I’ve been on the go, running on less sleep and of course I’m an older mama, so this cream has been a life saver. I keep it in my night stand and right before I hit the pillow I use this and it smells divine. It is also 100% paraben free! You know I love that! I also love that it doesn’t leave my skin greasy at all. It sinks in, leaving it smooth with velvety hydration. Its oil free and a great winter moisturizer.

Seasame Street Naturals B is for Bubble Bath | Tip, Tummy & Toes 2-in-1 | Spray Me Lotion newborn baby gear review new moms

Bath time is one of our favorite times with our kids! We have always had water babies and are super thankful this one is the same! He loves bath time and coos and smiles while we get clean. Again, we are always looking for products that have less chemicals, parabens and sulfate free. These products are wonderful.

B is for Bubble Bath has long-lasting bubbles that will keep baby interested while still being gentle on baby’s skin. It also has a subtle natural apple fragrance that isn’t overly strong and keeps baby smelling sweet!

Tip, Tummy & Toe 2-in-1 is quick and easy for bath time. I love that it is both shampoo and a baby body wash in one. The top foaming pump helps me keep 1 hand on baby while giving him a bath. It’s a gentle formula that is 98% derived from natural sources.  Voted “Best Foamer” by parents.com, it’s foam cleanses and moisturizes baby’s sensitive skin and hair.

Spray Me Lotion is a light lotion that moisturizes and hydrates quickly and evenly with its spray nozzle. Kiddos will love to help put on their lotion after their bath! It is also 100% derived from plant-based ingredients.
